The Patterson Mill girls volleyball
team lost the Class 1A state semifinal match to Catoctin Thursday night at the
University of Maryland, three games to one. The Huskies won the first game,
25-13, but then fell by scores of 25-27, 24-26 and 22-25. For game details, see

Gang threat is still real
in Harford
Sheriff asks legislators for statewide help
Harford County, along with several other Maryland counties,
continues to have a gang problem and police need more
legislative weapons to attack it, Harford’s top cop said earlier this
week.

Edgewood storm brewing
Omar Simpson doesn’t want an incinerator built in his Edgewood
backyard. About a week ago, Simpson attended a football game at Cunion
Field on Trimble Road across from the Prologis Park property, which
